But sometimes they can make you doubt your decision by making the house seem worse than it is. 😬 So how do you deal with this situation without hurting their feelings or losing your confidence? 🤔 Well, here’s what I suggest. Listen to your realtor, who is an expert and has your best interest at heart. 😎 For example, when the dad points out a crack in the wall, your realtor might say something like this: “Oh, don’t worry about that. That’s just a cosmetic issue. It happens when the house settles over time. It’s nothing structural or serious. In fact, it adds character to the house. It makes it look more vintage and authentic. You know, like those distressed jeans that are so popular these days.” 😜 Then they might explain how easy and cheap it is to fix it with some spackle and paint. And they might show you some before and after photos of similar cases on their phone. 📱 This way, they make the dad feel heard and respected, but also gently correct his misconception and provide factual information. They also make you laugh and relax, and remind you of the value and potential of the house. 🏠 And voila!
